Dagartech successfully completes the installation of a High Power generator set in the winery of Pago de Carraovejas

THE PROJECT HAS BEEN UNDERTAKEN WITH THE COMPANY HIPERGRUPO (HIPERGRUPO IBÉRICA DE ELECTRICIDAD), OFFICIAL DAGARTECH SERVICE.

The winery Pago de Carraovejas in Valladolid, founded in 1988, is renowned for the high quality of its wines. With a surface area of 60 hectares in the Ribera del Duero, it is a flagship in the wine industry, backed by many awards and acknowledgements of the quality of its wines. Some of the highlights include the “Best Red Wine of the World” award at the International Wine Competition in the UK in 2015, as well as the gold medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles and the silver medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards, both in 2019.

Wine production is an activity that requires an ongoing and reliable electricity supply to guarantee the correct development of the winemaking process. This is why the winery needed a system to provide it with back-up power so that it could continue its activities without interruption in the event of power cuts or failures in the electricity grid.

The generator set had to be completely dismantled in order to install it, as the ground could not support the simultaneous weight of the generator and the unloading equipment required for its installation.

The needs of the client

This reference winery required the installation of an 800 kVA generator set to ensure its operability.

  • The main requirement of this project was that the generator had to work automatically when faced with network outages or interruptions.
  • The winery needed to guarantee an uninterruptible power supply, which the Technical Management of the project sized at 800 kVA of power in emergencies.
  • They requested flexible and comprehensive event monitoring, as well as comprehensive display of engine-related information, thus facilitating maintenance or repair work on the machine.

  • ENGINE BLOCK - ALTERNATOR
    • Baudouin motorisation (6M33G825/5).
      Engine warm-up system to ensure quick start-up of the equipment, even at low temperatures.
    • Stamford Alternator (S6L1D-C) with PMG + MX321.
      Anti-condensation resistors.
  • CONTROL PANELCONTROL PANEL
    • DeepSea Electronics control module – – DSE 7320 MKII.
      Switchboard with network monitoring, which will automatically switch the generator set on when an outage is detected in the electrical grid and will automatically switch off when the supply of electricity is restored.
      It enables the monitoring of a wide range of engine parameters and display of information alerts, status and alarms. It includes USB, RS232 and RS485 communication ports, also DSENet® for system expansion. It offers the option of Ethernet networking.
  • OTHER EQUIPMENT
    • High attenuation exhaust silencer (-35 dB(A)).
    • Electro-welded cab made of high resistance galvanized steel painted with electrostatic epoxy-polyester powder paint.
    • With interior soundproofing by means of a lining with soundproofing material.
